We were briefed by Wieden+Kennedy Shanghai to create an animated spot for McDonald’s, celebrating the launch of the long-awaited 1+1 McStars.

The film was set as a live show, with the McDonald’s menu items as the stars and the potatoes as the audience, building anticipation as the performers were revealed on stage. Fillet-O-Fish led the lineup, supported by McCafé, McCool, Corn Cup, and the beastly McDouble.

Our team developed the characters through multiple design rounds, exploring different fabric treatments, with and without facial features, and shaping distinct personalities through movement, body language, and ingredients.
